Summary
Princess Rapunzel returns to the kingdom of Corona only to find that it has been taken over by an old enemy with the help of Andrew and the Separatists of Saporia. Still reeling from Cassandra’s betrayal and newfound Moonstone-empowered strength and greater deathly/destructive abilities, the barefoot princess must use her innermost strength to save all of Corona, her parents, and that of the entire world.
Sticking by her side is her boyfriend and partner in life, Eugene; her loyal chameleon sidekick, Pascal; no-nonsense and dutiful stallion, Maximus; Eugene’s best childhood friend, Lance Strongbow, a redeemed Varian and two former thieves, Angry and Red also known now as Kiera and Catalina.

Trivia
- The season was ordered indirectly by Zachary Levi, while addressing the span of 78-long episodes for the series in an "Entertainment Tonight" interview.[3]
- Its date was said to be October 7, which is a Monday; whereas the six episodes of the first season on Friday and the television movie Tangled: Before Ever After before changing the timeslot to Sunday mornings on Disney Channel starting with the seventh episode of season one and every episode of season two. After the premiere episode, thirty-five new episodes are to air on an unspecified time the day after a new episode airs. This new twist of airings further has fans confused as what time in the afternoon a new episode airs on Disney Channel.
- From October 7th, 2019 to October 18th, 2019 have aired nine episodes, while 2020 will conclude with three episodes of the show left to air with the five episodes have aired, leading up to Eugene and Princess Rapunzel's wedding day.
- Some consider "Cassandra's Revenge" a two-part special, being 43 minutes longer, and the premiere "Rapunzel's Return" a two-part special. Also, the series finale "Plus est en Vous" is shown to be an hour and a half longer (90 minutes) as a three-part special finale of the show
