Saporia is a rival kingdom of Corona and its people for many centuries.
History[]
A long time ago, a scroll depicted the war between the Kingdom of Corona and the kingdom of Saporia.
Once the two leaders of each kingdom started to take interest in each other, the Kingdom of Saporia grew vulnerable as the King Herz Der Sonne of Saporia soon withdraw his decision to fight against Corona.
Years later, the two kingdoms united under love, however, an activist cult started in taking revenge against Corona, and in order to do so they would need to find King Herz Der Sonne's journal. As it contains Corona's secrets.
In the episode Under Raps, it was revealed that the group was still active, with Andrew tricking Cassandra in falling love with him in order to obtain the journal from the kingdom.
At the episode Rapunzel's Return, it is revealed that Andrew and the Separatists of Saporia escaped from prison along with Varian and took over Corona. It is also revealed that Clementine, a member of the group, used the Wand of Oblivium to erase King Frederic's and Queen Arianna's memories, so that Varian could trick them by telling them that he was their most trusted advisor and telling them that they should make the Corona citizens mine for crystals that Varian needed for his experiments.
When Rapunzel returns, she and her group fight against the Separatists of Saporia, only to be defeated by them and thrown out of the castle.
Not much later, we see Varian trying to turn the memory-erasing magic into a gas named Quirineon, but he fails and ends up making an exploding formula.
Later, Rapunzel returns to the castle in an attempt to save the kingdom, but she's captured and thrown in jail by a member of the group. Then, Varian reveals to Rapunzel that all he wanted to do was make the kingdom forgive him for what he had done during Season 1 and that he believed that making the kingdom forget everything was the only way to accomplish it.
But then, Andrew tells Varian that he and the rest of the group decided to make a change of plans and better use the Quirineon to make Corona explode and it looks like Varian doesn't seem to like his idea, so Andrew tells him that he better stay on the "right side of history" or there'll be consequences. With this, Varian understands what he must do and decides to go to the "right side of history" by betraying the Saporians and attempting to throw a bomb at them. Sadly, he fails at this and ends up throwing a bath bomb at the Separatis, leaving him in a vulnerable position in which he's thrown in jail.
At jail, Rapunzel and Varian have a talk in which they become friends again and decide to team up against the Saporians. So, when Eugene and Lance come to their rescue, they decide to get into the Saporian's hot air balloon to stop their plans.
At the hot air balloon, Rapunzel and her friends have a fight against the Separatists of Saporia, and Rapunzel and her friends win and successfully save Corona and throw the Separatists of Saporia in jail.
