Buddy (episode credits) or the Buddy Song (album) is a duet song that is sung both by Eugene Fitzherbert and his childhood best friend Lance Strongbow during the second half of the one hour season two special episode Rapunzel and the Great Tree and the series respectively. When Lance and his best friend Eugene are separated from their other friends, they are sprayed by some of the strange plants that are only found at the The Great Tree then they start to hallucinate and through the song and dance that showcases how much they value their friendship with each other for better or for worst.

Lyrics

Eugene: If you're feelin' jumpy, lost, or low
I hope you know I'm here
Lance: Life's a little bumpy
Call me, bro
I'll always lend an ear

Both: Buddy
You're my best buddy
Eugene: When things get nutty
You're always there, mon frère
And
Both: Buddy
Who cares if people think it's strange
You're my best buddy
Bud, don't ever change

Lance: When I need a wingman by my side
I hitch a ride with you
Eugene: Ask for anything, man
I'll provide
It's no big whoop-de-doo

Both: Buddy
You're my best buddy
Lance: When I feel cruddy
You set me straight, old mate
Both: So, buddy
No matter what the Fates arrange
You're my best buddy
Bud, don't ever change

Buddy
You're my best buddy
Lance: Though life is muddy
Eugene: This friendship's clean, old bean
Both: So, buddy
Whatever comes, however strange
Lance: You'll always be my best buddy
Eugene: More fun than the silliest putty
Lance: You're never, ever a big fuddy-duddy
Eugene: You're... somethin' else that rhymes with -uddy
Both: You're my best buddy
Bud, don't ever change!
